I doubt that digital cameras will have that big an impact on silver prices since they are still expensive and do not produce as good a quality image as less expensive conventional cameras. I am more concerned about the impact of Advanced Photography System cameras. How much less silver do they use than regular film? If regular film is 35 mm and APS is 24 mm do they use 24/35 = 68.5% as much silver? There is one survey that was done which indicated that 40% of photographers would take more pictures with APS than with conventional cameras.

Will this lessen the negative impact on silver demand significantly?
