I agree with you on the market....however I don't think the market
will make it any easier on the bears than the bulls...it is hard to
short stocks that are already down 20-50%....the most attractive
shorts are the big blue chips but that is probably a crowded area
for the shorts.

While not recommending you pile into the group right now I think you
should familiarize yourself with stocks like RENS. This group is
way off its highs, meeting or beating estimates, trading at significant
discounts to their growth rates and I believe will make for a great
trade whenever they bottom. Read RENS' statement about their latest
quarter. Read CLMT's statement about their latest quarter. CLMT
trades about 20x '98 estimates growing 45% per year (just like RENS).
CLMT, TSCC, SAPE, CATP, WHIT are just a few of the quality companies
in this sector. Apparently the biggest problem these companies face
is finding qualified employees--there is too much business! All of
these companies are expanding. Note: EDS is the largest company in
the sector and obviously they are screwing up but they are the exception.
IBM and CSC are the two other large players and if you looked at IBM's
statement you will see that services are where all of their growth
came from. The other companies I mentioned are much smaller with
plenty of room for growth.

Good luck this week!
