Walter, up front, I don't know the answer to your question.

My speculation, however, is that EDIG's got several irons in the fire, not just with VedaLabs. My theory is the specificity of the respective contracts perhaps can not be finalized until the SDMI decides upon a standard. If EDIG's technology becomes the SDMI standard, then I'd think the terms of many, many deals would be different than if such deals got signed pre-SDMI.

Perhaps there's some kind of sliding scale arrangement whereby the VedaLabs deal can still move forward with use of the technology, however the terms of negotiation for such use would change should EDIG be selected as the SDMI standard. This would enable VedaLabs to move forward but would also enable EDIG to hold back on public release of the deal since the full terms of the deal are not yet final.

Like I said, it's speculation. And more so, this could be the case with other companies besides VedaLabs. If the final figures agreement can not yet be clarified, then EDIG is justified in holding back press. Although I'm sure EDIG would love to release top-notch news simultaneous to achieving the Nasdaq status, I think the SDMI decision is the more likely answer as to why we might be seeing news held back.

Tinroad stated he contacted VedaLabs and was informed by the company that EDIG technology is involved. I don't believe Tinroad would knowingly present false information to us. So based on Tinroad's communication, I'd bet there's substance to the relationship between VedaLabs and EDIG.

Perhaps your question is better directed to Tinroad. In the meanwhile, what's your guess?
