eli, both longs and shorts sometimes fool themselves into thinking a lucky pick was skill. And then set themselves up for a fall. The hardest lesson for any investor is to learn to admit a mistake and get out of a position. You don't have to be right every time, 3 out of 5 will do if you cut your losses in time on the other 2. And don't forget to take profits on the other 3.
