Tripping to Miami and the Keys for the next week, anyone have any pointers hi dutch, coming to my neighborhood eh! i suggest going to islamorada (about 25 miles past key largo) for some fishing. best place to drink beer in islamorada is the lor-e-lei...great sunsets too. for honey points, stop at the holiday inn marina on key largo for a peek at the boat from the movie african queen. my honey thinks that is romantic. skip key west right now...too crowded this time of year and the streets are tore up...redoing sewers again. if you do go to key west..the best restaurant in town imo is louie's back porch, make reservations...if the weather is ok, get an outside table. if you go south of seven-mile bridge (awesome drive..do it), try to find the no-name bar on big pine key, for some great pizza, fried chicken and cold beer. don't forget to try some conch fritters and stone crab somewhere. listening to the lake tahoe chat too. i lived in incline village before moving here...geez i am lucky. have a great trip, unclewest ps...do the keys first...you may skip miami...in miami ya gotta have dinner at joe's crab house...ask any local where it is.
