This just happens to be the core businesstartegy for Nokia now.

You could write poems on this topic.
In brief the topic is human-network interface,
which must be intelligent enought to be simply to use.

(Same problem with all Information Technology. More easy tho use - more difficult to put together.)

Interface which is personal and flexible and independet on machines and connection speeds.

They want to sell connectivity and service platforms for this.
Not only hardware-parts. They are playing with visions there, not with some do-your-self a personal phone -kits only.

Your personal web-interface is surronding you everywhere, kitchen, car, bus, workplace. etc.

(One example: bookmarks. Have you ever tryed to transport bookmarks to an other device in microsoft environment? Impossible.
This must be done automaticly. You are in hotel. You to toalet. Sit there. Open some toilet WEB-device, it reconizes you and Hello your bookmarks are there waiting!)

You can change ad hoc your connectivity device to an another device or change your connection GSM/PCS outside the building and once inside piconets (such as bluetooth).

Your device and connection variates, your information bubble will synchronize itself automaticly.

I'm not saying I know or have imagination to say how is this going to be done in real worlds-level.....But this is the major problem with which they are working now.

There just happens to be little companies out there (like Puma and Geoworks) who has been co-operating with Nokia enough long to get some visions how to cash out this personal web-interface.

Puma has some technology, GWRX has some lawyers. Etc.
