I did the demo, and I'm not convinced, although its a close call and they may do well. But, for one, why would I want to go to another site when I already have to go to my bank site anyway, to do transfers, check for deposits and so forth. The bank statement lists all the pending and completed payments so I can see the balance as I pay the bills. What happens with Paytrust when I get a "strange" bill, i.e. from a biller I never had before -- and I get alot of these -- with my bank, I can enter in the payment address on line and pay it right then, with paytrust, I assume I have to send then the bill and they scan it in before it gets paid? What if there is no bill, just an agreement to pay someone? Can Paytust deal with that? Now I can just enter it in at the bank site. My bank gives me the same history of bills paid that Paytrust does. I just don't see the advantage of going to yet another site for not much more flexibility, if any, and paying for the privilege -- and more than $8.95 b/c I think some months I'm above the threshold of 25 bills a month. Admittedly, I would like to get all my bills at one place and all on-line with no paper in the mail, but not so much that I can't wait until Ckfr or Transpoint has all my billers up and running.
