Sapper,

The tools available to the active trader in Canada are nowhere near as good or numerous as those available to our American counterparts. I'm not really sure what you are asking in your post. There is no tool available that one can trade through, have the trades recorded in a portfolio, including notes and or charts concerning the reasons for the trade, and then monitor said portfolio and produce reports. The closest thing would be using PC Quote with its trading integration for Schwab Canada.

The best portfolio package I have tried is Personal Stock Monitor. It has good reporting capabilities and, of course, it updates portfolios automatically via the Internet. It even supports Canada-Stockwatch. See dtlink.com.

Sapper, what would your perfect program do for you?

Cheers. -Allan
