your position is well intended. i disagree with the premise in a couple basic ways.

bill scanning is an outdated process. CKFR has sooo many areas it needs to spend it's time and money assets on that it can not afford to build something that will have to be torn down soon. would it have been wise for Henry Ford to divert some of his energy from his assembly line to build an oat plant. while he was getting the line up almost all people were using horses. would you have wanted to invest in ESSOat?

second , you are working towards making CKFR a front end company. though CKFR may take on some front end rolls, they will be in the info mgt area. bill payment will not be a stand alone process. it will be incorporated into a fiscal mgt system where ever it is successful in the long run. the front end should be left to CKFR's customers. the short term problem with scanning will go away soon. one thing you will find as you follow CKFR longer is that Pete Kight will sacrifice his short term position to better his long term spot. it is frustrating to live thru many of these bumps in the road. but if you are a long term holder you have a co that is focused on tomorrow, not today.

p/s Paytrust has had long talks with BLLS, and probably has an agreement, to handle their billing when they start processing electronic bills.
