Lynn,

So far the seasoned wood I cut and split last summer is holding up pretty well. Some stacks of unsplit rather green rounds are buryed in the snow. Hope I don't have to dig them out. Also have one oak tree worth of split wood that doesn't burn that well. I cut and split it in January. It needs to stand over this next summer to burn really good. Good thing I have that out of the way. It's hard enough keeping up with the snow shoveling.

I locked the fuel oil price in last summer by prepaying my dealer. The dealer locks in the price by buying fuel oil futures. I'm enjoying the $.80 oil this winter. Suggest you check and see if your oil dealer offers the same program. Some dealers down here are charging almost $2 for oil. Too bad we didn't see this coming last summer. Buying some fuel oil futures would have made some good bucks for us.
