No Way. Sexuality is not very "emapthetic" in animals, and the most aggressive male usually gets his female(s), often by force. Tis brutish and short, in most instances. While we are not like other animals it is clear that sexuality and violence are closely associated in the male brain. Hollywood figured that out a long time ago.


And I did not say child rearing developed empathy, rather I said child rearing would select empathetic females. You've got a lot of years of evolution working on females as the rearers of children. I don't think you can deny that.
