AOl had very simple method of getting subscribers and they flooded mailboxes with their cds. This cannot be done by @home for the cost factor around 10 cents a disc plus postage.

AOL also had a 5% churn rate per month at one time. So each year AOL had to replenish half their subscriber base just to maintain. So how cheap were those CD's?
