Ritch,

I'm posting a "kind" of disclosure here before I get attacked by fellow AOL longs. I have owned AOL stock for a long time (not at the moment) and currently use AOL for my ISP at work so this is not a case of bashing the stock. It has been widely reported in several publications and websites that AOL 5.0 is causing problems with many customers. It is not happening to all upgraders (I really don't understand why) but it locks out some peoples ability to log on using a different ISP (class action suit has been filed in Washington) and causes cable and dsl modem users to lose their IP configuration. Notebook users are having many problems with the new version. I personally have had to reformat my computer at home (cable connection with AOL BYOA plan) and can no longer access my free backup ISPs at work (AOL dialup). :-(
