Photoshop & Rambus Actually I never heard of Altivec. I have a windows based machine for other reasons, primarily because I am also a computer consultant and the companies I deal with (Large Corporations) just do not use Macs. I have no doubt that the Mac should have one the battle. Bad marketing decisions etc. did them in. Hopefully Rambus will catch fire and I can give up consulting and spend more time with photography which is my true love. Thanks for the reply. <<Interesting that you don't use a Mac G4 with Altivec since Photoshop is I believe optimized for Altivec. Would have thought that combination would be significantly faster than a PC with or without RMBS. Be interested to know how you feel a the G4/Altivec compares given all the claims made on both sides. Rich>>
