Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon. This event occurred during the Apollo 11
mission on July 20, 1969.

Obviously cut and pasted. By 1969, it was practically all semiconductors. Intel introduced the 1K MOS RAM, and the 4004 a couple of years later. 1969 had small and medium scale integration ICs, analog and digital, a lot of them made for the military, and, obviously, the space program.
