Taking Stock with Jack Cunningham Portfolio Manager at
Salomon Bros. Investors Fund

Jack's Picks: NA, SBC, LLY

Jack's not worried about continued rate hikes as the FED is
handling them in measured approach

Jack likes CPQ; sees a favourable risk reward trade off

New CEO Michael Capellas focused on cutting costs and
meeting objectives; if they cut corporate PC losses to 0 it
would go a long way to growing earnings per share

CPQ doesn't have direct delivery system that DELL does
but a recent purchase should help them; at market multiple
CPQ is good R/R trade off

CPQ down 1 ¼ at 27 ¼

Jack likes AT; yesterday it announced a favourable
transaction with BEL/GTE VOD

Also announced favourable roaming agreement with
BEL/GTE; the deal should accelerate revenue as well as
cash flow growth at market multiple it is attractive short and
long term

AT up 1 11/16 at 72 11/16

FLO: this and other food stocks pretty beat up over the past
year; close to 52 week low

Trading at 11 times projected earnings; has had problems
this past year with Mrs Smith line in start up mode

FLO owns majority of KBL stock, which has been doing
quite well; could be hidden value realised overtime -
attractive yield

FLO down ¼ at 11 13/16

GTW along with other PC companies could benefit from
rollout of Windows 2000; GTW getting more and more
recurring revenues from beyond the box

Down from its highs, Jack likes it
