tnx mj. i just got help on the "live help" chat and it's not the first time. they answer it within minutes, in most cases ~30 seconds. i wired funds on friday and the bank should forward it by monday. i want to make it my main account.
e*trade has plenty of delays in confirmation so it shouldn't be a problem for me; if i go from plenty of delays to fewer than things are already improving. as to double-fills, that's when you had it as a market order. i had some limits problems with e* but it was mostly to my advantage.
if you want to compare to e*, i had to wait over 20 minutes friday on the phone. maybe their secondary offering will raise some much-needed cash so they can improve service and deal with all the new costumers --but i'm not really in the mood to wait.
suretrade lets you margin on otc/listed stocks @ or above 4 1/8 ($5 for short positions). plenty of stocks are on the 65, 75, and 100% required (can't be margined) list. some on the list are outdated (bamm, idtc). but with such low margin rates, this is one way to protect themselves.
