I mean this O/S (W2K) is to be used in conjunction with a server. The desktop version is 6 mos. away --- I'll have to disagree with you on this one, John. Windows 2000 Professional is worth the upgrade whether you're upgrading your server(s) or not. Even without a Windows 2000 server on the backend, you'll still get the following benefits: - Rock solid - Fast - Excellent power management for laptop users - Native support for new types of hardware (USB, DVD, PCCard, etc) - Plug and Play Etc, etc. - Eric
