WTF? SEC actually getting tough? Believing in the Future of Amazon (free reg. req'd) nytimes.com Q. Last week, Amazon said the Securities and Exchange Commission was looking at the way it accounted for the costs of shipping goods to customers. It said that if the SEC mandated a change, gross margins would shrink. Is that something to worry about? A. It could be, possibly, but one wonders whether or not these things are relevant from time to time in the stock market.
