Carpe, yeah I think "Digital Broadcast Ready" will be as hot as "Cable Ready" was in the early 80's. Suddenly everyone needs a new TV. Which leads me to a question you could help me on. . . what is wrong with movie makers & TV makers that they cannot decide on an accommodation for screenwidth?

You buy DVDs. . .and most are only available in the "Widescreen" view. . .same as in the theatre. . . our square TV sets cannot handle the extra width, so they shrink the entire picture to fit the screen. . . suddenly your big picture is miniaturized. My problem is this. . . the DVD media makers rarely offer both versions in the same package and often do not even offer a size that fits the TV. . .how many have widescreens TVs in their bedrooms? .. . the DVD player makers simply leave it up to the media makers and display makers to sort out. . . . .and the TV makers are still pounding out square TVs, with little regard for the demand for extra width or for a "re-sizing" feature to give the viewer a choice. I walk into electronics stores and 90+ percent of what I see is still square.

Today I plan on running to Costco. . .mostly for supplies. . but secretly to drool over that Fujitsu Liquid Plasma Display widescreen from heaven. . .or Japan. . .or somewhere. . .

. . .back to reality. .

You make a strong argument. . . USWB, IIXL and ACOM are all undervalued and worthy of our undivided attention. Great work.
