Haz, Re: AQF

I really like this company. I bought a wack of paper last spring in the .70 range and am Still holding. I supported them thru the Courage battle.

No doubt about it that the market has punished AQF for it's slow action in Britain. The company is almost secretive at times with it's activities. Add in the fact that the Phillips people really like to be hands on owners with little international oil/gas experience (These guys are really landlords (Phillips Bros.) at heart). Trans World runs it's self but it is no where close to what AQF is as far as potential goes. The ownership also had lots to do with the old management leaving (Thompson, Cruikshank and the rest). These former managers went on to start Basinview Energy (maybe they'll take a run at AQF). Verne Johnson IMHO was in the back pocket of Courage from the start and I applaud Jr. for showing him the door gently.

I'm a buyer at these levels ( I never avg. down) but this is a special case. The Phillips people are in no hurry to get the price up. This company will be sold at much greater levels but under their terms. Keep in mind that lots of inside paper was issued and placed at $3 plus. The stock will move.......The question is when.
