Wende Doohan, 43, is expected to give birth to the couple's third child, a girl, on April 1, according to the actor's agent, Steve Stevens. Doohan turns 80 March 3.
The pregnancy was an accident, but the couple is ''thrilled,'' Stevens said.
''I guess he's still beaming it up,'' Stevens quipped, referring to Scotty's job manning the ''transporter'' device aboard the USS Enterprise on ''Star Trek'' and the oft-repeated line uttered by Captain Kirk (William Shatner) from the surface of a distant planet, ''Beam me up Scotty.''
Doohan and his wife, who live near Seattle, already have two sons, aged 21 and 23, Stevens said.
The Canadian-born actor recently signed a deal to serve as a spokesman for a new online bill-paying service and has a lead role in a film, ''The Duke,'' scheduled for release this summer, Stevens said. He recently appeared opposite Randy Quaid on pay-per-view television in the movie ''Bug Buster.''
