I think a benefical effect of .com mania is to stimulate all kinds of startups, worldwide to greatere of lesser degree. Japan may be the last to see entrepreneurship take hold. Perhaps next generation. Like it when the big Japanese companies put cash into some little US biotechs though. <g>
