~OT~...<<According to the PM they sent to everybody 24 January they plan to shut down the original SI around which this community developed "in the week of 7 February", and from then on the only thing available will be that go2net site which they call 'Silicon Investor' and with which there are so many problems ... you might enjoy this - Message 12791146 >>

marcos: Lets just say that I am very comfortable with 'Classic SI'....IMO, shutting down the original version of SI is like Coke saying that they are going to get rid of the 'Classic Coke' and make everyone drink the NEW Coke. We all know how consumers responded to this. Coke was smart enough to realize that it was IMPORTANT to give customers a choice. I thought the customer was always supposed to be right....hmmm.....Does anyone know any GOOD reasons why SI can not continue to give us a choice about which version we use..?? In today's high tech world choice isn't a bad thing....it's not like AOL makes everyone use AOL Titanium (or version 5.0). I actually just switched to a cable modem in the last week and I love it. Yet, I still do really prefer the 'Classic Version' of Silicon Investor. Are there any other folks out there that feel the same way...??

Best Regards,

Scott
