Random finds:

From the Tolly Group:

DOCSIS CableModem vendors as of January 18, 2000 (note TERN's TurboNet OEM-ed version does not have @home L2 approval)

Which leads me to wonder who @home is using in the following list of deployments (note vendors are no longer named):

DOCSIS advanced PHY:

To address its areas of concern, the DOCSIS Board is adding the 802.14 FA-TDMA technical specification to DOCSIS 1.1, since it is similar to the existing TDMA-based DOCSIS PHY. Additionally, the Board has asked Terayon to build a prototype DOCSIS modem with S- CDMA that meets its clock recovery and spectrum compatibility requirements. If Terayon can deliver, it is likely the Board will include S-CDMA in a future release of DOCSIS, tentatively called DOCSIS 1.2.

Does anyone know what the "clock recovery and spectrum compatibility requirements" are and what the chances are of TERN meeting them? My source says nil, but I'd like to get other opinions.

Okay, shifting to a look at Rogers@home, I find the following "test drive" site. If all these stores are offering retail products, isn't DOCSIS certification essential?
rogers.home.com

That's it for now.
