ICICI keen to acquire housing finance companies (Monday, February 7, 2000) Amit Prasad & Sangita Mehta in Mumbai ICICI Ltd is looking to acquire housing finance companies to expand its housing finance business. Earlier, the financial institution had expressed willingness to acquire retail portfolios of other finance companies for the same purpose. Senior ICICI officials said that the criteria for any acquisition would include pricing and credit norms followed by the company apart from its size and reach.
