Dale I don't dispute the significance of your example. The internet is will certianly continue to grow in its importance. The winner will be the consumer. The element of the internet retailing that I find disturbing from a investment viewpoint is the lack of barriers to entry and rate of change. The real winner will be the consumer. What happens when price is the only differentiating element of the purchace? Who profits and how much?
Internet retailing stinks from a investment view, at least given the valuations that exist now.
