An Auto update to 6.0 (if it does NOT do the same) could make sense. That MAY keep some of the UNknowing from using 5.0. But THEY REALLY DO THAT? I do NOT want anyone having the capability to update or change anything without my express permission for EACH request. As far as a 'fix',, that seems far fetched as they would have to have a tech (one that knows more than just a little) walk each user through each step or VERY detailed instructions. To undo all the changes as an auto--- could make a much bigger mess than what is there now. Many are hate the thought of REformatting,, their level of experience would make a walk fix through even more intimidating. Reformatting "C" is a pain but easily done with a little experience and ALL the required programs and a start-up disk. The boxes under companies like DELL and Micron with techs that can walk a neophyte with the time through a reformatt and the ability to email or mail any missing files would not be so bad--- now we have 8 million potentially pissed off customers,,,
