Robert,
I hope you enjoyed you time with your family and enjoyed God's day!
You said, "This " hardening " that you believe God did to Pharaoh was as I said earlier, the natural result of the choices Pharaoh made against Gods people and the subsequent judgements of God against Him He was just doing what his " nature " called for him to do. He finally received Justice from God."
My question to you was not to try to find out for what reason God hardened his heart. The question had to do with the free will to choose. You've misunderstood! Please re-read my post. Maybe it was because you took a couple of days to respond and you forgot the real question! Or maybe I wasn't clear enough originally!

My question is, Why does God have to harden Pharaoh's heart, if Pharoah does not have the free will to choose to believe in God and listen to what he says?
He was fallen and he should have not been able to make a decision to believe in God, or do something God wanted him to do, according to you. As you state previously, "There is NOTHING ( that includes decisions, choices etc)" Good " in Us, in our natural state ( unbelievers ). This is where I see the problem is Steve. You think that in your " fallen condition " you can make a decision to choose God."
From your statement this would make the hardening of Pharoah's heart useless, senseless and meaningless! And I am sure you don't think that God telling us about the hardening is useless, do you?
Again so there is no confusion, I will repeat the question, Why does God have to harden Pharaoh's heart, if Pharoah does not have the free will to choose to believe in God and listen to what he says? He couldn't have made the right choice according to your belief. The hardening just wouldn't have been necessary!!!!
God Bless, Steve |
