Mozek,

I've no doubt MTS DTC was invented by MSFT. You need to brush up on your reading skills. I stated that EJB's transaction support was modeled after CORBA's, not MTS. CORBA also defines distributed transaction services which I am sure was not "ripped off" from MSFT. How you deduct that I am stating that MSFT "ripped off" DTC from someone I haven't a clue.

I am sure W2K will add some performance to MTS but I have not read about any great improvements in MTS itself. EJB servers will also run on W2K and Unix. Also, MSFT provides no component development standard like EJB that defines not only the component model but the standard services (security, lifecycle, transaction, etc.) that the component can rely on.

Interesting as you characterize my post as rude - projecting? At least I try to be substantive and avoid the political garbage such as labeling posters in one camp or another. You post a link to 1 of my posts trying to make me sound like a SUN moonie. Why don't you dig a little further and read some of my older posts on the SUNW thread. I'm not necessarily well liked with the "regulars" there which display about the same behaviour as you do.

When I wrote: "My post was meant to illicit a dialogue with Jean and I wanted to start the ball rolling by posting why I think EJB/Corba is better in contrast to his assertion of the contrary. Your post adds nothing to that discourse." it certainly did not mean in any way that I wished to exclude others from joining in with some facts.

I'm always amazed at how people like yourself expend as much energy as they do twisting other people's words instead of offering some information in their posts. I think its a sad statement that you spend your timme looking into people's motives instead of having a frank discussion about the facts. I'm here to share and learn, you obviously are not.

Claude
