Greetings Steve,
Thank you for your reply and yes I had a great time with my daughter and her husband.
This is becoming very confusing to say the least.
To keep this as brief as possible, Pharaoh was not predestined to be shown mercy...................God decides who He shall show mercy to totally independent of us. Look at Pharaoh's outcome.
Forget about this free will thing for a minute and read my last post with an "OPEN " mind and heart. God did not directly " harden " Pharaoh's heart, but in Gods foreknowledge He saw that Pharaoh would continue to " harden " his own heart, despite the calamities and judgements that Almighty God would bring against him.
This " indirect " hardening that God says He will do to Pharaoh is the result of all the Judgements of God against him. Gods foreknowledge knew that Pharaoh would never submit to God. In this sense then God hardened his heart by allowing Pharaoh to exercise his will to oppose Gods will.
Free will does not enter the picture here Steve, Pharaoh is doing what he was made to do.( vessel of wrath ) I quoted in my last post to you also that Pharaoh himself " hardened " his own heart. It looks to me that you have the Sovereignity of God and human free will on the same level vying against eachother for ultimate supremacy. That is an abomination to the Lord God Almighty.
'WE ARE THE CLAY, HE IS THE POTTER "
I do take time prayerfully to read and meditate what you write , I would very much appreciate you doing likewise Steve.
I don't know much more to say to you Steve, other than read my posts with an open heart. May Almighty God show you truth according to His Holy Spirit and your seeking heart.
I'm working starting tomorrow am, so will not be back online till tomorrow night. Talk with you later, Take care Steve.
