My second nic is PCI (both Dlink) as well. The slot fan is right next to the heat sink of my voodoo3. I don't OC the V3, so I may not even need it (I have a case fan and a PS fan but I'm overclocking my 300a to 450 (yes, I tried the second nic with the celery @ 300 just to see if that was the problem) so I like good airflow in my system. Not too sure what the speed of the USB nic is. Michael
