I happen to think that the DRD purchase of DOME will turn out to be a VERY shrewd move.

Dome has not only a nice, low cost little 90,000 oz mine but humungous prospects. They've got something like 1200 sq. km. of dirt in one of the most prospective regions of the world. I have been in those New Guinea hills[near the rivers] and had little kids come up to me with gold nuggets the size of your thumbnail to sell me. The hill next door to the Tolukuma mine may well be another hot prospect[preliminary results show good quartz veins]. So much of that area is totally unexplored. The prospects boggle the imagination.

Not only that but DRD bought all these assets at what will turn out to be fire sale prices. They have also added geographical diversity which[like it or not] will impress the US shareholders. When they put Dizz in the cannibal's pot, this diversity may just save DRD's ass[ets].
