Quintek System Selected by Carolina Power & Light
CAMARILLO, Calif., Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Quintek Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: QTEK - news) today announced orders for aperture card imaging equipment from Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) (NYSE: CPL - news), located in Raleigh, North Carolina. CP&L plans to adopt the Quintek system as a company standard for recording digital information on permanent media.

CP&L is a leading supplier of electrical power from nuclear, fossil, and hydroelectric resources. With over $8 Billion in assets and 16 power plants in operation, CP&L has been meeting the energy needs of Carolina residents for over 90 years.

Quintek supplies chemical-free equipment, software, media, and services used for long term storage of digital information. The nuclear power industry is viewed as a primary market segment, since Quintek offers a unique and ideal solution for complying with NRC regulations which require nuclear power plants to store records for over 80 years. There are over 125 nuclear power companies in the United States alone, most with multiple power plants and affiliate companies specializing in fossil fuels, power transmission, utilities, etc.

This document contains forward-looking statements. There are certain important factors that could cause results to differ materially from those anticipated by the statements made above. Additional information on these and other factors will be included on future 10-Q and 10-K reports. Quintek plans on filing its Form 10 with the Securities and Exchange Commission in a few days.
