Just funnin' with you, .Trev. You didn't write it, you just posted it, so my responses were directed at the authors, not you. I just can't take LeMet and the other conspiracy-mongers seriously. But I do suppose short-covering occurred. For example, Frank Veneroso I take seriously.
I see people trying to make money in the markets, using any legal means available to give them an edge, including the time-honored tradition of using government's interventionist bent (not that such ought to be possible, but it is). Others call that a conspiracy. I see the big players as alert to the big picture and all its nuances, typically neutral ahout everything except making money.
I don't get too excited about what could be a very short-lived spike in gold, to be followed by money-making opportunities on the downside for those who know WHY this spike occurred. Just a guess, but lots of history behind it. |
