Yes. There are times when I wonder WHY companies don't chase each other for mergers and/or takeovers, and there are times when I look at a merger or takeover and think, "Now that doesn't make any sense at all."

Sort-of like the Reform Party in Canada. They have a good idea, but they can't get it off the ground without a lot more people on-board.

In the business world, it makes sense to me to merge or acquire if the money and/or patents and/or knowledge is going to increase your foothold on the market.
