With all due respect, I just happened across your thread, and would like to chime in with a few unsolicited thoughts, if you don't mind:
There certainly are kooks posting out there. But there are far more hypsters, hucksters, inside players, shorters, and just generally crooked people than there are deranged or dangerous ones. The crooks concern me, because they are poison to the basic value of information on SI (and on the web in general). What I mean is, you can ignore rude words, or hottly stated opinion, but sorting out the self-serving half-truths, rumor, and pumping of stocks is much more difficult to parse successfully.
I frankly don't believe your "Types" serve a purpose: Type I and II have a distinction without a difference: the actions you propose are the same, so why distinguish them? And as to Type III, does it really take categorization to figure this out? SI has terms of use already. Further, there are established Netiquette methods of handling flaming, off-topic posting, etc. I think you are, with the best intentions, reinventing the wheel. My two pennys.
