Welcome. I'll let Stan respond to your comments since they were directed to him. But in the meantime, could you provide a source, or reference, for the "established Netiquette methods of handling flaming, off-topic posting, etc." you mentioned?

If we are indeed "reinventing the wheel" here, I'd like to know about it.
