Had a long talk with Dennis regarding my concern about the impact of ASL's possible hedge problems affecting the recently signed deal with Birim.

Based on his recent discussions in Ghana with several groups within Ashanti he sees a desire by Ashanti to move forward as quickly as possible with the development of their newly acquired Birim property. Ashanti is taking steps to secure financing required to proceed with that work.

He anticipates good things ahead for Birim especially in light of higher gold prices.

Concerns I expressed last week have been put to rest. I have been in the market picking up more shares in the expectation that once the few shares remaining at .28, .30 and .31 get chewed up we can expect a significant increase in price.
