<<In looking at the performance of DELL this quarter, I have to say that I am very critical of management's tardiness in alerting its shareholders to the issues facing the company. We should not have to get information about how the company is doing from analysts. It is creating two classes of investors one with inside knowledge and the others with no knowledge of what the company is actually doing.>>

Hmmm..interesting points..Jim: I am getting my relatives to consider cutting way back on their positions in AOL, DELL and ATHM. ALL of these stocks are not perceived well right now and there are many other prospects that I like much better. They still have large positions in CMGI, CSCO, INTC, INTU, ORCL and SEBL. These firms all had GREAT years in 1999 and have a lot of momentum going into 2000. Yet, there are also other stocks like CREE and NTAP that hold a great deal of promise, IMHO. My relatives are LTB&H investors BUT there is no sense in waiting additional quarters for the perception of AOL, DELL or ATHM to change. They are all great companies but I AM NOT in love with their stocks. I am not as patient as my relatives BUT I am getting them to slowly re-consider their investing styles. Sometimes tough decisions have to be made.

Oh well, Better days for DELL may be out there on the horizon...;-)

Regards,

Scott
