Tony,If you look at clock speeds while jumpmg from generation to generation of X86 chips you`ll see that the Pentium II is NOT a jump to the next generation.

486-66-100 to Pentium 60
Based on this shouldn`t a Pentium II have been indroduced at a slower clockspeed than a Pentium-200 MMX? Say a 150? How fast would a P2 be at 150? Faster than a Pentium 200 MMX? I don`t think so.

Of course Intel has marketing might...
