The word "blasphemeth"#987 is from 989 a Dir. of #984 is "blapto which means to "hinder"....This is the word in the manuscripts, it make a big difference
Sorry Barry I am not to sure what you are getting at concerning Matt. 12, so befor I respond any further I would like you to please elaborate...
As to your comment concerning you are not sure whether or not it refers to end times....Mark 13:9 Jesus tells us that we shall be delivered up to powers for a testimony against "them"for Jesus's sake and the gospel will then go forth and then...Do not premeditate as to what you shall say...For "it is not you that will speak but the Holy Spirit"..do you se it my friend?....just as on the day of Pentacost...all for a wonderful reason.
Now as to your being convinced that is it simply " a continuous and unflinching rejection of Jesus as God's Christ and Savior until one's death"....there is much to be said of this...and that will take us into another issue...The 1000 year reign of Christ...
For now I will ask you to consider the following:
1.What about those who were 'Blinded"...Rom.11:7-8
2.What about, John 6:44
3.What about those who are believing that they also have the truth.
4.What about those who are fearful of believing anything except what has been taught to them since they were children.For fear of death of exile... In their minds they don't have a chance..Can we judge them?
Do you believe that God our Father will judge them to hell without first teaching them His truths....especially in the cae where He Himself has blinded them and given them a spirit of slumber...
I think not, there is oh so much more to it then any of us could ever know.
And on unrepentenant sins....what about the man or woman who has for all their live served the Lord with all their heart, soul and mind...
They were saved by the blood of the Lamb...the only way one can be saved....and then when they reach their 60's 0r 70's they begin to wander..and then suddenly they die....with a couple of sins on thei soul that they did not repent of?...Are they doomed?
Or what about you or me....or anyone who is saved by the blood of Jesus...we all fall short right...well suppose we one day do not wake up...and maybe the day before we did not repent of some sin or sins and maybe even further it was a Big one....Are we doomed?
In any case my friend I certainly do not know everything...but I will die learning...for Jesus is my Savior and Lord....
For me Jesus is my example, I following Him because I love Him...I know no other way....Christianity for me is a way of Life...I live it everyday.....I take literally every word of God...
