I don't make my projections based on other's assessments. I know this company better than anyone. I also know the industry better than Forrester or anyone else because of my background and experience. No one at any of these firms have been at it as long as I have. They're all beginners in comparison.

You are completely wrong about your view on XML and what is out there. You are wrong about what EXLN and XML are doing to enhance EDI and make it ecommerce ready and robust. If you knew the relation between WEBM and EXLN and knew that WEBM is an amateur at implementing the solution in comparison to EXLN, you'd laugh at your comment. WEBM can't go anywhere unless EXLN validates what they provide. Read the whitepaper on WEBM's site. You'll see where WEBM is. EXLN uses a WEBM software component in their solution. That component isn't where added value lies.

IONA isn't competition. Iona? It's a CORBA front for HWP. I got it. You work at HWP. CORBA is exactly what I've told you about RDBMS houses, hybrids, and other False Dmitris. It's a sunset technology which has been given a lease on life because inefficient companies like HWP have all this investment in it and so they can't shift gears. They're stuck because the ship is too big to turn. That isn't going to work in the new environment. You're better off even with a data blade.

When I hear someone use the term "space" I immediately know crapola is afoot. According to your profile you're a math major from UC. In math we use the term "space" endlessly and with rigor. In this business when you hear it used, it means the user doesn't know what they mean, so they fumble around for some general term that is sufficiently vague but sounds good. Don't use it. Learn the terms that characterize what you'd like to express. That requires investigation.

There's no point in investigating the old stuff (I use stuff when I mean something sufficiently vague and especially useless) in order to get a handle on what EXLN is or has become. The only source is this thread and the comments I've made. Read it and then ask why I say this or that.
