Peppe, I tend to agree with ZO. I think even TM is smart enough, <vbg>
to understand that bigger is often better and that consolidation
in the telco space is the name of the game.
Also that there are too many new technologies ( ATM, IP, Optic, Wireless )
for any one company to be No 1 in all.

The fight for No1 position will be quite bloody and cut throat
I think, as most of these fights are.

I think TM is realistic. He believes in his technology,
wireless and ATM and is simply repositioning himself
for a bigger fight.

I am not sure you can call this defeat.Could be just
as well be called change of strategy.

For example, El president went from a long haired, marching
down the streets of Moscow, ca. 1960s, leftie, democrat,
to a right winger, welfare cutting, non-tax-raising,
dyed in the wool republican very successfully.
He adopted their methods ( the Republicans').

Would you call that defeat? Maybe....for some.
Most Americans however think he is a winner and they re-elected him.

So perhaps you may be in a minority position now Peppe.

:-)

let's talk,

All of a sudden NN bashers are gone.
What does that mean?

LOL. It means the tape has turned and NN is finally admitting defeat by selling to a bigger competitor. Great news for the longs.
