Bob: I don't 'hate Barrick' -- but I don't 'love them' either. ABX could have done something today. Let me make a comparison: Many years ago, DELL made a killing speculating on currency -- and their stock went down, really down. Why? Because nobody wanted to buy them as a currency speculator, they wanted to buy the growth of their core business. ABX is turning into a derivatives company. They are still pretty much on the wrong side of an up market -- and I know that is debatable. I don't want to buy that. I want to buy companies that are on the up side of an up market. And when ABX tries to screw the market for their own purpose then I say to heck with them -- let them suck lemons while the rest of us get on with the reason why people buy gold stocks - upside potential of the metal in a nutty paper-chasing world.
