My initial impression is based on investor perceptions.
From the first announcement of 2.44 Billion the deal was exaggerated and over inflated.

CORL is thinly traded, when word of the deal hit, people said 'CORL, aren't they the makers of that word processor that no one uses anymore'?

WS will not go ga-ga over two struggling companies in the middle of 5 year turn-arounds deciding to merge.

Both these players are struggling to turn a profit. When the merger related expenses and writeoffs start to hit, there will be even less profit to impress WS.

At least they didn't rename themselves to Corprise.
