That strategy may or may not work on a particular stock at a particular point in time. What can I say, stocks fluctuate, and so does the size.. When ONSS & TRGA & ARIA were around the 1-1 3/16 area, you could have bought in 50k blocks almost anytime you wanted, no one cared. Not a chance now you can buy 50k of ONSS @ 3 TRGA don't know now, haven't tested it. As for ARIA, it is in sell mode for me now. You also can't usually do this all in one day, sometimes it might take weeks to build a position. These are just 3 examples out of a pile of Rats. >50k means 50,000 shares, not a $fifty thou order.<
