Babette,

the Patrol line of BMCS fits nicely in the Tivoli offering, but there are overlaps as always. The mainframe Database tools are unique. The Backtrack (backup/recovery) tools could be an valuable asset to IBM. Remember, its all about SLAs (Service Level Agreements). IBM follows the "outtasking" philosophy, so that would make some sense.

But I don't really believe in it.
