Jack and all - I was listening to a TA guy on CNBC today, and he was explaining "why we should see a big correction in the market at some time in the coming months." (I don't remember the details.) Anyhow, it occured to me that a LOT of tech stocks have reached triple digets in the past 6 mos. or so, and people who bought, for example, 1,000 shares of a $5 stock a year ago (like SNDK), have now achieved an amount close to a small fortune. Assuming that SOME of those shares were sold -- let's say at prices of 100 or so -- that freed up money that could be reinvested in MORE stocks. In other words, the money going back into the market would be much more than what was originally invested, and in turn this would fuel quite a market run-up if enough people were doing this. My theory is that this is what is happening. Now the question is: What will cause it to stop? Higher interest rates haven't done it SO FAR. What about earnings? If they come in lower than estimates, a stock gets "whacked". But what will really shake the whole market? I'm just curious about any opinions.
