Health Outcomes Management Donates Pharmaceutical Care Learning Laboratory to University of Utah College of Pharmacy
MINNEAPOLIS, January 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Outcomes Management, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: HOMI) announced today it has donated a Patient-Centered Pharmaceutical Care learning laboratory to the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. This software-based experiential learning tool will guide students through the process of patient-centered pharmaceutical care and give them the ability to document their practices.
Pharmacist developer Lary Armentrout of Health Outcomes remarked, "As the role of pharmaceutical care moves to the forefront of modern pharmacy practice, there will be a need for pharmacists who are trained in this new discipline. Pharmaceutical care is a patient-centered practice in which the pharmacist takes responsibility for all of a patient's drug-related needs and is held accountable for this commitment. To take responsibility means the pharmacist finds, resolves, and documents drug therapy problems.
